Location
Knapdale House is situated in the Upper Village in a quiet, leafy, less-developed part of Tobermory known as Strongarbh Park. The Tobermory Golf course is approximately five minutes walk away as is the Western Isles Hotel with it’s Conservatory Bar and Dining Room. For those with young families we are a two minute walk from a lovely play park situated on Western Road.
To reach the picturesque harbour and main street of Tobermory, keep heading down the hill and you will reach it within ten minutes - where you can sample the many culinary delights of our waterside restaurants or simply enjoy fish and chips sitting on the fishermens pier and taking in the beauty of the harbour and surrounding waters.
How to find Knapdale House
Turn right on leaving the ferry and proceed to Tobermory. When you arrive in Tobermory take a right turn at the small roundabout and go down the hill and along the main street until you reach a left turn just before the corner shop. Go up the hill (back brae) and you will come across a switch-back on your right, take this turning off the Back Brae following the directions to The Western Isles Hotel. At the Western Isles Hotel turn left into Western road and traveling uphill, follow the dog leg right then left bend and travel straight up to the top of the hill where you will find Knapdale House last right turn before the T junction at the top of Western Road.
There is plenty to see and do on Mull and there will be a handy information pack left for you giving details of local events along with any useful information about the house and it’s features.
