Knocknafenaig caravan

Caravan sleeping 2
Comfortable well-equipped caravan situated in a glorious unspoilt location on the south of the island within easy walking distance (half mile) of a beautiful sandy beach.

The views from the sitting room windows are magnificent, with the cliffs of Gribun to the east and the Paps of Jura to the south. Quiet and secluded, it is ideal for a romantic getaway or as a low-budget base for exploring the Ross of Mull with its numerous hidden coves and delightful walks.

The surrounding scenery is wild and rugged with rough moorland, peat bog and granite outcrops so stout hiking boots and/or wellies are advisable.

Situated on the edge of the deserted township of Knocknafenaig, it is a site of unique historical and archaeological interest: guests are welcome to explore the well-preserved ruins which date from the 18th century.

The nearest village of Bunessan is one mile distant and its amenities comprise a general store/Post Office, a well-stocked and licenced Spar, the local pub The Argyll Arms, and the acclaimed seafood restaurant The Reef.

Closer to hand and about a half mile down the road, the Ardachy House Hotel serve evening meals to the general public and morning teas in the pleasant conservatory overlooking Ardalanish Bay.

The ferry point for Iona at Fionnphort is 8 miles distant.
